Daniel Orosz is an independent filmmaker currently living in Paris. He acquired MA in English & American Literature with focus on gender, films studies and postmodern drama. He extended his studies in a Budapest film school learning under such mentors as director Peter Timar, dramaturg Kriszta Kovacs and editor Laszlo Hargittai.
Orosz has premiered his short drama Első randevú (First rendezvous, '12) in 2015, followed by his second short fiction in 2016 Befaltuk az életet (A life devoured, '22) which has just entered into festivals - in both productions collaborating with the alumni of the Hungarian University of Theatre and Film Arts (SZFE). The shooting of his latest short (After love, before storm) has just been finished in Paris, in which production he teamed-up with Brazilian filmmakers.
